Care Guide
Fine silver (.999) is softer and more luminous than sterling. With a little attention it stays bright for decades. Here is how to look after your piece.
Cleaning
- — Use the jewellery polishing cloth that comes with every piece, or a soft microfiber cloth.
- — Wash occasionally with lukewarm water and mild dish soap.
- — Dry completely after cleaning.
Avoid
- — Abrasive cleaners
- — Toothpaste
- — Rough paper towels
- — Harsh silver dips unless absolutely necessary
Prevent tarnish
- — Store in an airtight bag or box.
- — Keep with anti-tarnish strips or silica gel packs.
- — Store away from humidity and direct sunlight.
Wear and handling
- — Avoid dropping or bending — .999 silver is soft.
- — Remove during workouts, swimming, cleaning, and gardening.
- — Perfume, lotion, chlorine, and sweat can speed up tarnishing.
