What is 99.9% pure fine silver?
99.9% silver refers to fine silver — silver that is 99.9% pure. That means only 0.1% of the metal is made up of other trace elements.
How it compares to sterling silver:
- — Fine silver (.999) → 99.9% silver
- — Sterling silver (.925) → 92.5% silver + 7.5% other metals (usually copper)
All of my 999 silver pieces are solid.
How do I look after my piece?
Fine silver is softer than sterling and needs gentler handling. The short version: keep it dry, polish gently, and store airtight.
